Star Of Mtvs Jackass In Pennsylvania Car Accident

Brandon “Bam” Margera, star of the MTV show “Jackass,” was involved in a motor vehicle accident in Chester County, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 27. The accident was described as relatively minor, and the other motorist involved in the two-car accident reportedly became excited when he recognized Margera as a celebrity.

The accident reportedly occurred while Margera’s expensive sports car was stationary at a stop sign on Locust Grove Road in Pocopson Township. The other motorist was attempting to turn onto Locust Grove Road when his Ford pickup truck grazed Margera’s vehicle on its side.

Margera apparently was able to see the oncoming collision, but could do nothing to get out of the way. The other motorist stated that he had been looking at a global positioning system (GPS) device in his vehicle prior to the accident. According to police, the driver of the pickup truck appeared to be at fault in the accident.

The TV star called an accident report into 911, but declined to press any charges, expressing a desire not to cause any trouble for the other driver, who was apparently making a work related delivery for his employer at the time of the accident.

This is the second Pennsylvania motor vehicle accident in recent months involving a cast member from MTV’s “Jackass.” Margera’s co-star and best friend Ryan Dunn was killed just over four months ago after being involved in a fiery car wreck in Chester County.

The earlier, much more serious accident happened in the wee hours of June 20 on westbound Route 322, near the Pottstown exit. Alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor in the wreck, which took the lives of Dunn and his only passenger.
