Tv Star Ryan Dunn Dies In Chester County Wreck

West Chester, Pennsylvania native Ryan Dunn, who was made famous for performing daredevil stunts in the MTV television series ‘Jackass’ was killed early this morning in a fiery car wreck that occurred in Chester County.

The car accident happened shortly after 2:30 a.m. on westbound Route 322 close to the Pottstown exit, police said.

Thirty-four-year-old Dunn and a passenger, who has not yet been identified, are believed to have died upon impact after the Porsche 911 GT3 they were driving veered off of the road, flipped over a guardrail and slammed into a wooded area where it burst into flames.

When the automobile crashed it fractured into many pieces, police said. In fact, the color of the vehicle could only be identified by a piece of the door that had flown several feet away and remained unburned.

Police said that even though the car’s wreckage was removed from the site, eerie evidence of the crash still exists. Evidently, there are skid marks about 150 feet long on the roadway and a fallen tree that was hit by the vehicle is still lying alongside the road. The blazing car also blackened trees at the site.

The police investigation has revealed that speed could have been a contributing factor, but as of yet it is not clear if alcohol could have played a role as well. Two hours before the accident, Dunn allegedly posted a photo via Twitter showing him consuming what looks like an alcoholic beverage with friends.

Dunn will be remembered for the entertainment he provided on the Jackass TV series and Jackass movies as well as the numerous other television appearances he has made in recent years. Many celebrities have taken to social networking sites today to express condolences and their reactions to the sad news.
