Wwe Heavyweight Involved In Philadelphia Car Wreck

A famous WWE wrestler was involved in a motor vehicle accident in Philadelphia Monday morning. John Cena, a WWE superstar, was reportedly rear-ended by another driver while riding in his SUV. A tractor-trailer then reportedly struck the other driver from behind, police said.

The three-car accident occurred at about 11:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Route 76. Cena was using his cell phone for a professional call at the time of the accident, according to his driver. The wrestler was reportedly en route to a promotional event when the crash occurred.

Luckily, no one was injured in the crash. Cena’s driver said that an argument broke out among the vehicle operators after the accident, but the other drivers quickly calmed down after Cena emerged from the SUV and they realized who he was.

Physicians said that the wrestler was “shaken up” following the accident, and he may have sustained some whiplash-type injuries to his neck and back. They said he was experiencing some stiffness and pain and that they will continue to monitor his condition.

Cena told WWE reporters that he has been in other car wrecks, and he isn’t worried about his condition. The wrestler appeared in a Monday night match at the Wells Fargo Center after being evaluated by medical personnel and cleared to compete. He is also preparing to fight The Rock during an event in about two weeks.

It’s important to point out that the effects of a car accident may only become evident days or weeks after the crash. Whiplash-like symptoms can also be a sign of long-term spinal injuries. That is why it’s so important to seek treatment following an accident, even if your injuries do not appear severe.
