Man Rescued From Being Trapped Under Equipment In Pennsylvania

As many workers know, working with heavy machinery can often be a dangerous task. However, it doesn’t take Philadelphia Industrial Accident Attorneys to understand that being trapped under one of those machines can often be a frightening time.

One man recently experienced just that, but seems to have escaped safely. A man was working in Central Pennsylvania, near Penn State, when the accident occurred. A piece of equipment apparently fell off of a tractor trailer that the worker was unloading, and the worker was trapped underneath. He was reportedly freed from the equipment and taken to the hospital for treatment. The severity of his injuries was unknown, but, at the time of writing, it appeared that he was okay. There was no word as to how the equipment fell and trapped him in the first place.

When a worker is injured, the first step that should always be taken is to immediately get medical assistance. Once that assistance is given and the worker is treated, then the worker and his family often have to worry about how long he or she will be out of work for, and how the bills will be paid during that time.

Hopefully the worker will be able to receive injured industrial workers compensation during that time, and will not have to worry about the medical bills or the lost wages. However, that unfortunately is not always the case. If assistance in receiving those payments is needed because either the insurance or employer is denying coverage, a lawsuit can be brought to hasten the time it takes to receive a settlement.

Often times, a worker’s first priority is getting back to health as quickly as possible in order to get back to work. Even if the worker does everything correct, however, sometimes help is needed.
